Our clients came to us with a vision for a modern farmhouse home, warm wood accents, open shelving, and custom cabinetry, planned as the first phase before a future addition. Their one condition: they had to stay living in their home, kitchen fully functional, throughout the entire process.

We designed a staged renovation that made this possible. Instead of gutting the whole space at once, we relocated the new kitchen and living room to the back split level while renovating the lower level, letting the family cook, live, and carry on daily routines uninterrupted. Once they'd transitioned into their new kitchen, we repurposed the original cabinetry into a home office with integrated storage, a practical, zero-waste solution rather than a teardown.

The result is a main floor that finally feels connected, with warm wood details, open shelving, and custom cabinetry throughout.
